Close up Photography Workshop

Each One-to-One Close up Photography Workshop day lasts for a minimum of 8 hours and costs just £165.00, it includes tuition and transport to and from the locations.

Caterpillar‘We have now entered the world of close ups in nature, a world that lies just beyond the familiar that is so full of rich detail and striking beauty. So if we look through our macro lens with an open mind, a little imagination and an almost childlike curiosity there are many more subjects for us to consider.

There is certainly no need to go far. Indeed finding close ups in nature should be seen as more of a soul searching journey, a journey of inner vision and contemplation rather than a journey to some far off place.

Furthermore, the deeper we delve the more fascinating and rewarding they become. They reveal their hidden treasures without hesitation allowing us time to reflect and admire their majesty. With this awareness the nature photographer is indeed privileged.

OrchidThroughout the Close up Photography Workshop the emphasis will be on developing a competent and professional approach to close up photography.

We will start by looking at the camera controls in detail and use the cameras advanced operations instead of automatic mode. This gives us more control of the camera and allows us to make decisions that suit the conditions at the time of exposure. Give due to consideration to the light quality and how we can make the most of the available light and modify it if necessary.

Together we will consider an environmentally sensitive approach to our close up photography to ensure minimum impact.
