Photographing Onboard Moving Vehicles

Most of the time, the most beautiful and picturesque scenery can be found along the road when a person is travelling. However, people who photograph these rare wonders become frustrated because they usually capture blurry representations of the sight. The main issue that constrains a photographer from capturing quality photos taken from a moving vehicle is vibration. Photographing inside a non-stationary vehicle is a special case that normal photographing techniques would not apply. To avoid getting blurry output, it is important that the photographer increase the shutter speed of his camera. By doubling the shutter speed, he can get clear better pictures despite the fast motion of the vehicle.

It is advised that photographers inside a running vehicle should avoid using their optical telephoto zoom. This feature is only effective in showing details of distant subjects when the photographer takes the image from a stationary location. Furthermore, you need to slow down the shutter speed of your camera when taking faraway subjects-this totally contradicts with the rule of thumb of moving-vehicle photography.

The last issue that should be addressed when taking photos from a moving vehicle is reflection of the windows. To avoid this conflict, it is recommended that the photographer move the camera as close to the window; however, he should not let the lens get in direct contact with the glass windows because the windows' vibration might be reflected in the output.
